Wasted Youth

So on a forum i go to a lad barely out of childhood himself at 18 announces him and his girlfriend are pregnant, whilst everyone is happy for them - I couldn't help but feel sorry for them.

The kid has no job and they have nowhere to live and they want to bring a baby into the world? That's not just it though, i mean 18, they're barely out of childhood themselves and have seen nothing of the world or had any life experience so far, and though it's an awful thing to say i can't help but think what a pathetic waste of a life oppotunities they could've had.

I really hope they are ready for it.

That's is all tonight.

Randomly Happy

Can't think of anything insightful today, so I guess i'll just have to share my day.

After a week of hot weather with the last day dull and rainy, things reversed again and it was hot as hell today. At this rate the "miserable British weather" saying is going to pass into myth, (roll on extreme winter - yay!). So i thought i'd go out on a shoot today and make the most of the weather.

Wasn't sure what i was going to photograph, but that didn't matter, i was more concerned as to where, and inspiration. Decided to go to an old lake that had a make over in the last few years with a suspension bridge across the lake know and modern pricey houses, also took some new shots of our old bombed out & disused railway station from the 1900's. Ended up at the Ferry Gardens taking pictures of the Spinnaker tower and the boationg lake for more swan pics.

YouTube Stars

I've decided to post about YouTube today.

I've become secretly addicted to this site and watching people's videos, but aside from the wannabes, lip synchers and attention whores who want 15 minutes of fame, there are some who actually use it as a tool, and in a great way.

Such is Trunkfish: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Trunkfish

A guy who started making films with a friend but now has become the star of the show with his friends, often funny, sometimes plain weird. And 98% of them are very good with only a few misses. You should check them out. My favourite is Noelopan2, but you'll need to see Noelopan 1 first! I also Love Without A Sniffle (I & II), which got me hooked on his videos, Slow Mo and the "Norman and Kyle" series.

So give them a try, and let me know what you think!
